Worthy by words was established at the beginning of 2024 when I was looking for more meaningful gifts for my friends children. But in a way, it started long before that.

I have always believed in the power of words. As a teenager, writing was my creative outlet - it was my way of creating self-worth and happiness.

After watching the movie 'The Help' when I was about 19, the use of affirmations inspired me so much and I realised this was a wonderful way to empower children as they learn and grow. Ever since then I knew I wanted to foster self-belief, love and encouragement in my own kids as early as possible.

Fast forward 10 years and since having two wonderful boys, practicing affirmations with them at bedtime has become part of our daily routine. One day I thought, maybe I could gift this feeling of empowerment, rather than more 'stuff'.

After searching high and low for truly personalised affirmation art for kids, I couldn't find what I was looking for.

And so Worthy by words was born after much encouragement from family and friends. Welcome to my little piece of pride and joy based in Auckland, New Zealand. I hope you love it and find something special for your little one/s.
